Take a Break & Relax, MOMS!

Moms are always busy, from sun up to sun down, preparing meals, attending school functions, meetings, cleaning house, working an outside job, taking the kids to practice, changing diapers and a whole lot more.

It seems that getting in a shower each day is hard work, much less getting in any time to breath. Although you might feel like you are super mom, you do not want to let the cape overwhelm your super powers. You need to relax; you need a break, too.

Guilt-free time away from the kids – and the hustle and bustle of the ‘mom’ title is essential for  the health and well-being of any mother.

This away time serves as an opportunity to rejuvenate your mind, enabling you to get back to the ‘real world,’ ready to take on the non-stop agendas. When you take time for yourself you’ll also benefit your health.

Whether you can get away for a couple of hours or for the entire evening, be sure that you take that opportunity to do so each and every chance that you get, without feeling a bit of guilt.

You need that time to be yourself, to alleviate stress and let the world melt away, if only for a while. You’ll feel a lot better, and in turn can be more productive, energized and ready to take on the world.

Here are a few ideas to help you relax, unwind and rejuvenate yourself.

Visit the spa

There is nothing in this world more relaxing than the ambiance at a spa, but when it is combined with massages, manicures, pedicures and the other abundance of relaxation, you really melt into a small space of paradise.

Can’t make it to the spa? Have a girl’s party at a girlfriend’s house and treat one another to hair, nails and makeup!

Purchase a hammock and place it in your backyard

On those days when it is too frantic to get away, lay in your hammock, headphones on, and a good book. This is a very refreshing way to spend the day and you’ll certainly appreciate this mini- getaway.


If you live near the beach, do not hesitate to head out to enjoy the fantastic water, sand and the sun. The combination of these three fascinating things eliminates stress and eases your mind.
